Hello, everyone today we will discuss questions with solutions. This question is suggested for CSIR NET, GATE, IIT JAM, and other entrance examinations like DRDO, NTPC, UPSC, etc.
Now, we have to solve this problem from the Reference book – Discuss the brief reaction mechanism that is helpful to concept clearing your thinking approach.
That is beneficial in your examinations of multiple-choice or any objective type question solution. you can easily solve it in case given a similar reagent. This question is very very important for any knowledgeable purpose and any entrance examinations.
You can easily solve it yourself and Practice reading the purpose of the reaction mechanism.
This is the objective type question. You can solve it easily with proper reaction mechanisms.
Q.1.Find out the major products A and B with reaction mechanisms.
Answer:
You can see major products A and B. Given below equation is the proper reaction to the problem. we see that the Lithium diisopropylamide (LDA) reagent use two times partly and the formation of different required products. In the fast case abstract, the alpha hydrogen and formation of the nucleophilic center are attacked on Allyl bromide. And release the Br- ion. In the second case, LDA abstracts the hydrogen from the alpha position and forms the nucleophilic center which is the attack on bromoethane.
Reaction mechanism:
Solve the organic synthesis of given compounds in the presence of LDA or Lithium diisopropylamide with a reaction mechanism. LDA is a highly selective Regent which is abstracts the Alpha hydrogen in presence of Ester.
LDA reagent morally favors attack in Alpha position in presence of carbonyl group.
We hope that these types of questions are helpful for you. If you have any queries regarding this question and answer series you can ask in the comment section below or you can follow our official Facebook page @chemarticle or @chemclip.
Books Reference:
Reference book for a reaction mechanism and organic synthesis: You can follow the Carruthers book for modern organic synthesis. This book is very very good and better too knowledgeable for any entrance examinations for a research fellow or higher level or advanced level learning of organic synthesis.
